Commenting on This Project

Pursuant to 36 CFR 218 objections on this proposed project will be accepted for 45 days beginning on the first day after the date of publication of the legal notice in The Oregonian and The Seattle Times. If the objection period ends on a Saturday Sunday or Federal holiday objections will be accepted until the end of the next Federal working day. The publication date of the legal notices is the exclusive means for calculating the objection period for this proposal. You should not rely upon dates or timeframe information provided by any other source.

Only individuals or entities (as defined by 36 CFR 218.2) who submitted timely and specific written comments about this proposed project or activity during designated public comment periods established by the Responsible Official will be eligible to file an objection.  Minimum requirements of an objection are described at 36 CFR 218.8(d). An objection must include a description of those aspects of the proposed project/amendment addressed by the objection including specific issues related to the proposed project/amendment; if applicable how the objector believes the environmental analysis or draft decision specifically violates law regulation or policy; suggested remedies that would resolve the objection; supporting reasons for the reviewing officer to consider; and a statement that demonstrates the connection between prior specific written comments on the particular proposed project and the content of the objection unless the objection concerns an issue that arose after the designated opportunities for comment. Incorporation of documents by reference is not allowed except as described at 36 CFR 218.8(b). Other eligibility requirements are defined by 36 CFR 218.8 and include the objector’s name and postal address title of the project name and title of the responsible official and name of the administrative unit on which the proposed project will be implemented. Signature or other verification of identity of the individual or entity who authored the objection must be provided upon request. Individual members of an entity must have submitted their own individual comments in order to have eligibility to object as an individual. A timely submission will be determined as outlined in 36 CFR 218.9. It is the responsibility of the sender to ensure timely receipt of any objection submitted.  Objections not filed in a timely manner or those that do not meet the requirements described above will be set aside without further review.

Objections received in response to this solicitation including names and addresses of those who object will be part of the public record for this proposed action.
